STEPS TO COMPLETE YOUR AHA BLENDED LEARNING CPR CERTIFICATION:
- Take the appropriate American Heart Association course online for your situation. Links are provided below (Fee for this portion is separate from the skills fee and is paid directly to AHA.) Any questions or problems related to the online course(s) should be made directly to American Heart at 800-242-8721.
- Provide Life Touch EMS with a copy of the completion certificate you receive at the end of the online course. This can be printed and brought with you to your skills testing or emailed by attaching to an email on the ‘Contact Us’ page above.
- Call 785-825-5115 or email to setup a time for the hands on skills testing. Dates are listed below (subject to change).
- BE PREPARED for your skills testing by knowing ALL of the steps to determine if someone needs CPR and then perform CPR on an adult and infant/child. You will also be tested on how to help an adult/child and infant if they are choking. (Fee for this portion will be paid directly to Life Touch EMS. Fees for skills testing are listed below.) *REMINDER- This is a test of what you learned during the online course. You should know what to do BEFORE you come.
- Your AHA card will be emailed to you upon successful completion of the hands on skills testing to the email you provide at testing. All certifications are good for 2 years.

Life Touch EMS has a CPR and/or First Aid class for everyone! No matter your occupation- daycare providers, teachers, construction workers, personal trainers, coaches, moms, dads, guardians, doctors, nurses, EMS, LPN, CNA – we can certify you. We are certified American Heart Association CPR instructors and are ready to teach you how to save a life. We recertify those that just need to renew, or teach those that have never had it before. All certifications are good for 2 years.
Which class do I need? (Clicking on the course will take you to AHA to sign up for the online course. )
*BLS Healthcare Provider CPR: doctors, nurses, LPN, CNA, EMS, etc.
*Heartsaver Pediatric First Aid, CPR, AED: daycare providers, teachers, and other occupations caring for children. Adult is covered in this course, but focus is on children. This course DOES meet the requirement set forth by the Saline County Health Department for daycare providers. Skills testing fees are listed above.
*Heartsaver CPR and First Aid w/AED: construction supervisors, personal trainers, and other non-medical related fields that deal primarily with adults. Pediatrics is also covered in this course, but focus is on adults. This course DOES NOT meet the requirement set forth by the Saline County Health Department for daycare providers.
How long is my certification good for?
All certifications are good for 2 years.
